In most cases, workout exercises are performed at a gym or at least at home. However, what should one do if he or she wants to stay physically active in his or her office? The answer to this question lies in the term “Office Workout”. In this post, I have compiled the list of 7 exercises that will help you lose weight while you are spending time in the office.
Office Workout: Stretch
Every decent workout begins with a good stretch. While sitting on your chair, reach for your toes and grab your feet. Make sure that your legs remain straight at all times. Hold your feet for several seconds. Breath normally. Do not hold your breath. Repeat this exercise a few times.
Office Workout: Pull Your Knee In and Take It Down
As the title suggests, this exercise is all about pulling your knees in and taking them down. You are pulling through the abdominals, from your navel to the spine. It’s a great ab exercise that will help you lower your belly fat too. Contract and engage the abs as much as possible.
Office Workout: Both Knees In and Out at the Same Time
Let’s move it to the next level. Pull both of your knees in and out while sitting on your chair. This is a little bit more advanced, as you will be required to put more effort into completing this exercise correctly. However, nothing is impossible.
Office Workout: Sides
Pull your knees into the right side. Then switch to the left side. Continue working on your waistline for a few minutes. Alternate sides to repeat the exercise.
Office Workout: Rotate the Waistline
Rotate your body from left to right and from right to left. Through rotation, your body will get better blood circulation.
Office Workout: Reach to the Floor
Before you begin, make sure that your chair does not have wheels. If it does, temporarily relocate to some other chair or a couch. Reach towards the floor by touching your left foot with your right arm and your right foot with your left arm. Touch your feet 10 – 20 times, then release.
Office Workout: Bicycle Exercise
Make your back straight, straighten up your legs and begin doing the bicycle exercise while sitting in your chair. Slightly rotate your body from the left to the right while performing the bicycle exercise. Breath normally and don’t hold your breath.
